We have some exciting events happening at Youth Club in the coming months.  Pilgrims Football Club have kindly offered to come to Youth Club for the three sessions in May and run some football training.  Also on the 2nd May we have a Japanese lady called Yoko coming to Youth Club to demonstrate Origami.  The young people will be able to try this skill which, I am sure you are aware, is the Japanese art of paper folding.  I have always enjoyed origami and am looking forward to this workshop.

Also on the 30th May we have a representative from the Kenward Trust coming in to give an interactive Drugs Awareness workshop.  Lesley, Tina and myself recently attended similar training for Drugs Awareness with Kenward Trust and this was probably one of the most fun pieces of training I have ever done.

Just to update you on Luke’s charity hitch hike – he made it to Marrakech in Morocco by Saturday 24th March having set out from Southampton on Friday 16th March so a total of 9 days and 16 hitches through France and Spain.  He is now holidaying in Morocco and will fly back to the UK on the 29th March.  Luke tells me this was an amazing experience and was not without its problems, trials and tribulations.  I will ask him to write an article for the Forester so he can tell you in his own words.  Congratulations to all those who took part and raised an amazing amount of money for the charity Link Community Development.

Remember Youth Club is for any young person between the ages of 10-19.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
